It would be hard to find anyone in Australian visual arts with more dedication and commitment. Trevor has taught many people and has created some stunning and uniquely individual paintings, drawings, sculptures and exhibitions here in Australia. These achievements and legacies can be easily forgotten, and Trevor is not one to get caught up in accolades. He just continues to create, and has survived the vagaries of the Australian art world on his own terms.

Earlier this year, Trevor allowed fellow artist, Steve Lopes, to fossick/rifle through his studio to choose works for an exhibition at Stella Downer Fine Art. The result is a collection of works that span from his earliest years of exhibiting to the current day. His studio in Newcastle is an Aladdin’s cave of treasures -  mountains of stuffed animals, bones and toys, piles of discarded drawings, and unplayed musical instruments. Some of the works are survivors from epic shows produced over the years; others, including the beautiful studies, have never been shown before.
