emergent : conversations
a forum for ideas, a platform for new communities
emergent: conversations will be a space for artists, curators and other individuals involved in emerging and boundary-pushing art practices to share ideas, create new partnerships and establish new communities.
Each iteration will bring together speakers for a 15-20 minute guided discussion and audience Q&A. The discussions will be followed by an engagement session in which those in attendance are encouraged to mingle, connect and swap ideas.
The conversation series will be launched in conjunction with the emergent22 exhibition. The exhibition will be at SDFA from 31 August - 1 October and feature work from 3 exciting emerging artists: Frankie LA, Xanthe Muston & Charlotte Fetherston.
