Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (former USSR) Rae Bolotin came to Australia in 1979. Bolotin has exhibited extensively, including regularly at Sculpture by the Sea, the University of Western Sydney Sculpture Award, Sculpture in the City, Sculpture in the Vines and the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize. In 2006 Bolotin won the Willoughby Art Prize and in 2007 she exhibited as a finalist in both the Helen Lempriere National Sculpture Award in Victoria and in the Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 2012 she showed in the Heysen Biennal in South Australia.
