Anoushka Sansom is the SDFA manager and curator. She is the founder and director of the SDFA emergent program, that offers talented emerging artists a pathway from art school to professional practice. Anoushka has a strong commitment to bringing new art and artists to the fore. She is known for curating exhibitions that facilitate diverse community voices. Her curatorial projects include; Queer Contemporary 2019: Other(ed) Bodies (part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Arts program) & Activate Oxford: Seeing & Being Seen - a project that saw the activation of disused public spaces in the Oxford Street Precinct.
Anoushka is a practicing artist and is the founder of Mishpokhe Projects - a socially engaged art project that supports Queer Jewish women through engagement in Yiddish cultural practices.
Anoushka holds a Master of Art Curating from the University of Sydney, a Master of Arts from University of New England and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wollongong.
